I'm reminded that one of the very sweet things in life is a young girl, and I really love the way this photo symbolizes the promise of hope and a bright future. Days can be filled with doubt and despair in our current economic crisis, but all around us are glimpses of blessings. This gal was fun to photograph, with a smile that came so easily. Where in the world is my BLOG?!!!

Well my goodness - my poor blog has been neglected so long, it's a wonder someone didn't delete it from cyberspace! But hey now, the start of 2012 gives me a golden opportunity to make a positive change and get the ball rolling again. So many things have happened since my last post.... I shot weddings, family portraits, little kids running through the grass, seniors who look like they're ready to conquer the world, a bar mitzvah, a surprise birthday party, a hospital that closed, a restaurant interior, and last but not least, a couple of Christmas parties. And I wonder why I didn't have time to BLOG? :-)

My camera and I have been traveling here and there, as well, getting the most mileage in England, Scotland, and Ireland. Beautiful countries, and a whole different world from New York. How can you not love the architecture in those places? It's a landscape photographer's dream... but alas, I am a portrait photographer! So, my friends, I took lots of pictures for the sheer enjoyment of capturing places I had never seen before. So fun.

Looking back a bit into 2011, here are a few highlights from Jonathan and Jessica Lawler's wedding on June 4th. They are an adorable couple, and their wedding was just the right combination of elegance and fun. Great wedding day!
